The pandemic changed the way that we communicate and connect. Unable to meet in person, we had no one with whom to discuss our lives, our obsessions and our discoveries. Instead, we made "small talk" through the creation of zines and booklets, a tangible yet physically distanced way to speak to each other.

Pattern, based in Denver, cultivates community at the intersection of art and documentary.
